Nintendo also revealed there will be a double pack featuring both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl released on November 19, 2021.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are 3D remakes of Pokemon’s 2006 Nintendo DS entries, and the games are being developed by ILCA inc instead of Game Freak. ILCA has worked on games like Pokemon Home and was a support studio for Nier Automata and Yakuza 0. The games will be directed by original Diamond and Pearl director Junichi Masuda and ILCA’s Yuichi Ueda.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an open-world Pokemon spin-off game set in the feudal past of Diamond and Pearl’s Sinnoh region. Early gameplay showed a world that is reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one that is filled with wild Pokemon to catch.
The goal of Pokemon Legends: Arceus is to create Sinnoh’s first Pokedex and aims to “break new ground” for the Pokemon series. Furthermore, it will feature Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott as potential partner Pokemon.
