The school of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics is currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Education) in International Relations. The School of HAPP is one of the largest and most diverse School¨s at the University, exploring culture and society from the origins of humanity and ancient history to modern day politics. We are home to a number of research centres which bring together clusters of research conducted by academics in the school and beyond. Politics at Queen¨s assembles one of the largest and most diverse group of scholars in the UK covering almost all areas of politics and international relations.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

Have a PHD or equivalent in International Relations or Political Science.

Teaching experience commensurate with career stage, including undergraduate or postgraduate teaching, project supervision, assessment and feedback experience.

Ability to teach across International Relations, including both security and terrorism.

A track record of leadership, demonstrated as evidence of leadership of, or significant contribution to major initiatives that significantly improved education, research or administrative processes.

Although this is a teaching focussed role, the School will endeavour to support your research plans and embed you in the research culture of the School.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
