Ujjain: On the 6th anniversary of Digital India, PM Narendra Modi interacted online with 7 street vendors across the country. This included Nazmin Shah, who lives in Nagziri in Ujjain. Talking to PM Modi, Nazmin said that she had taken a loan of Rs 10,000 under the PM Swanidhi Yojana and now earns Rs 700 to Rs 1000 every day.
The PM asked if you transact online. On this, Nazmin showed she indicated a local fruit trader by making a digital payment of Rs. 1520. On this, PM Modi said that our country is great because of such women. Nazmin said her husband Shakir is a mechanic. No work was found during the Corona period and the lakdown, which worsened his financial condition. After taking a loan under the Street Vendor Self-Reliant Scheme, she started a fruit business and the business started. Nazmin has also repaid his loan.
’I am very happy today’, Nazmin said after talking to PM Modi. She further said, ‘It was because of this scheme that I became self-reliant’ Nazmin had also learnt sewing from Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. This makes her earn Rs.200 per day. She is also encouraging other women to take advantage of the scheme and move forward.
