Sean and Andrea McMaster have been let go from Albany Broadcasting. The husband-wife team cohosted the Breakfast Club on B95.5 for more than a year. Prior to Andrea McMaster joining her husband in the studio, Sean McMaster cohosted mornings with Meredith McNeil starting in 2017.
Before joining Albany Broadcasting, Sean McMaster was with Townsquare Media for more than 20 years.
Sean McMaster wrote about the departure on Facebook, saying:
It is with immense sadness that I have to let you all now that today I …and Andrea were let go from Albany Broadcasting. We were of course told that this was a budgeting cutback.
I just want to take this opportunity to tell you all how much your loyalty has meant to me through the years and that I will truly miss waking up with you in the mornings.
I have no regrets, The Breakfast Club and what we tried to do with it meant the world to me and I hope we brightened your days as much as you did for us.
Obviously, this also means my time at Big Country 107.1 has also come to an end and that hurts too.
I have no idea what the future holds for me but I wanted you all to hear from me first.
God Bless, I miss you already.

The last several months have hit local radio stations hard. Tracy Villaume and Jason Howard were let go at The River (iHeart). Jess Sims and Dana Race were laid off from Townsquare due to COVID-related budget cuts.
More when I have it.
