Habitat for Humanity is partnering with the city?of?Canton?to launch?a new initiative this summer, Habitat Builders Academy,?that provides?high school and college-aged students with a paid summer internship that benefits both their future and the community.

This 11-week program gives students the opportunity to gain experience working in the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, on construction sites, in the warehouse and with the organization’s events and marketing team.

Emphasizing the importance?of?educational success, the program also includes five paid hours set aside for every participant?to spend working with a tutor each week. This time allows the students to catch up on school work affected by the pandemic and helps them prepare for the school year ahead.

Habitat Builders Academy allows these students to take part in hands-on work while helping Habitat for Humanity on its mission to bring people together to build homes and hope.?More information is available online at?
